Overview of ADOS-2 Training

Dr. Suzi Naguib is an independent trainer for the Autism Observation Schedule-2nd edition (ADOS-2). The ADOS, which was designed by Catherine Lord, Ph.D., is a semi-structured, standardized assessment instrument that allows clinicians to accurately assess and diagnose autism and pervasive developmental disorders in individuals suspected of having autism. The ADOS-2 encompasses a range of activities that offer various contexts in which observation of social and communicative behavior can occur. Observations of these social and communicative interactions are coded and organized into five domains that are directly associated with a diagnosis of an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). These domains include the following: (1) Language and Communication, (2) Reciprocal Social Interaction, (3) Play/Imagination, (4) Stereotyped Behaviors and Restricted Interests, and (5) Other Behaviors.

Overview of ADI-R Training

Dr. Suzi Naguib is an independent trainer for the Autism Diagnostic Interview-Revised (ADI-R). The ADI-R, which was designed by Catherine Lord, Ph.D., is a standardized interview that provides a thorough assessment of individuals suspected of having autism. The interview questions, which are administered to caregivers, cover several content areas including early development, language acquisition/possible loss of language or other skills, current functioning in regard to language and communication, social development and play, as well as restricted interests and repetitive behaviors.
