Adolescent & Adult Adaptive Behavior Skills Training

Learning to drive for adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders Sunfield Center Ann Arbor MichiganAdaptive behavior refers to a person’s ability to take care of his or her basic needs to achieve skills necessary for independent living. At Sunfield Center, our treatment focuses on identifying age-appropriate and functional adaptive skills in order to help adolescents transition into adulthood and adults to function more independently in their everyday environment. We support adolescents and young adults in attaining higher education and teach a range of skills, including self-grooming, budgeting, household cleaning, cooking, using public transportation and attaining a driver’s license.
